Geo Park Pavilion

Encouraged to take a different design approach, I sketched using mixed media on site. The most appealing feature of the coastal site to me was the vastness of the ocean, and lack of perspective or sense of human scale as a result. The sketches developed into this model.

From the model I developed a pavillion which cantilevered from the existing sea wall, providing views to the geology east and west, and toward the vast ocean to the south.

Seating is integrated into the design.
